PowerTrac™ Aluminum Box Frame Cantilever Gates PowerTrac™ gates have been certified to 130 MPH wind loads in coastal locals. As site conditions (soil, wind exposure level, building codes, etc) are an essential element of the evaluation, Jamieson provides an option for your job-specific wind-load certifications. 
Smooth and Reliable Operation
Each PowerTrac™ gate include a minimum of (4) 10" heavy duty truck assemblies. Each truck assembly encompasses (8) cylindrical bearing wheels rated at a 6,500 lb static load each. The entire truck assembly has been tested and certified for a 9,500 lbs peak load. Two TrusTrac™ extrusions provide the cantilevering support & rigidity required for large gate openings. Geometry and section widths on our track are specifically designed for increased strength and rigidity to resist deflection over long spans and in high wind-load conditions. Each 6061-T6 aluminum track extrusion weighs 4.8 lbs/ft by itself- over 6½ lbs/ft in conjunction with the top horizontal member. 
Solid Construction
PowerTrac™ gate frames are constructed from durable 6063-T52 structural aluminum to provide maximum life, durability and rust resistance. Each gate is custom fabricated to achieve superior squareness, balance and rigidity. All bay widths are ≤ 6' wide, equidistant and braced with (4) welded solid gusset plates. A minimum of (3) cross braces per primary vertical member and alternating diagonal cross braces top & bottom span the length of the gate to join the front and rear panels as a rigid, single piece box frame. Heavy wall vertical members, horizontal bracing and a second vertical support member are standard on each end for greater impact resistance, chain link tension (if applicable) and internal mounting of brackets or drive rail to eliminate protrusions from the end of the gate. Jamieson only uses stainless steel cable in our truss cable assemblies to eliminate stretching and the readjustments that are more likely with other materials. These truss assemblies are oriented for adjustment in each direction in each bay and on both front and back panels for adjustability throughout the entire gate length. Filler materials extend through the tail section of each gate for safety and symmetry. Thus, each gate can open to either side- eliminating the need to specify opening direction.
