![]() ![]() Aluminum Continuous Hinges McKINNEY provides aluminum continuous geared hinges for application on wood, aluminum, or hollow metal doors and frames. Mortising is not necessary, and the continuous hinge doubles as weather stripping on the hinge side. The continuous hinge has no pin. Instead, it uses a twin joint, so that the rotating surface turns only half the distance as in a pin hinge, for the same degree of door opening. The leaves are in rolling contact with each other, which minimizes lateral wear and virtually eliminates door sag. The gear design keeps each leaf in perfect alignment for the full length of the hinge, causing the door to swing evenly from top to bottom. McKINNEY continuous hinges come in either clear satin or bronze anodized finishes and are available in lengths from 79" (2007) to 120" (3048) for standard or heavy weight applications. Full mortise, full surface, and half surface types available. McKINNEY aluminum continuous hinges are certified as fully functional after
1.5 million cycles using a standard duty hinge on a 150 lb. door. McKINNEY McKINNEY continuous hinges are guaranteed for the life of the opening. Fire
listing certification applies to all approved hollow metal and wood door NOTE: Consult the factory or the McKINNEY catalog for additional information.
