PERMEABLE PAVERS:

Permapave™ Permeable Pavers provide the hard surfaces required for urban living. Permapave™ surfaces are safe and non-slip for pedestrians, bicycles, and cars yet allow stormwater to pass freely through the substrate to return to the water source.

Our pavers typically display compressive strengths between 4,000 and 8,000 lbs/square inch depending on the type and size of the stone used. Pavers are inert when cured and unaffected by salt or UV.

Permapave™ porous segmental pavers are ideally suited as a practical long term alternative to porous concrete. Permapave products are truly an environmentally integrated solution because they perform the same function as traditional paving products, yet do not impose on the natural environment. Permapave products allow rainfall to drain through the body of the paver and be absorbed by the earth and into subterranean aquifers.

Permapave™ Pavers can be laid in strips on top of bio-retention pits, in low lying sections of any large area of urban paving such as parking lots and industrial warehouse sites, where large amounts of polluted stormwater is likely to collect.

Permapave™ Pavers can be laid around trees and other plantings to increase water absorption to plant roots.

FEATURES OF PERMAPAVE™ PERMEABLE PAVERS:
  • Flow through rate of up to 7 gallons per second depending on the type and size of stone (One square meter).

  • Filter 100% of gross pollutants plus micro pollutants. Exit water may be further purified to class 2 standards with use of Permapave™ in place of bioretention system.

  • Unique design and are available in a wide variety of natural stone types, colors and sizes.

  • Provide the required hard surface for urban living, yet allow storm water to return directly to subterranean aquifers. Pure water is returned to the subterranean aquifers, much as it did before urbanization. Aquifers are a valuable future urban water resource.

  • Trafficable for both light and commercial applications provided that the substrate complies with the required standard.

  • Comply with the required standard. Pavers can be manufactured to have a transverse breaking strength exceeding 11Kn.
