Ladder Rung Covers:
SlipNOT® has designed state of the art slip resistant ladder rung covers for easy retrofitting over slick ladder rungs. Oil and gas companies, food processors, the U.S. military, the automotive industry and utility companies have used SlipNOT®  rung covers to ensure safety in wet and oily conditions.

General Information:

  • Available thickness: 1/8"
  • Available width: 1" or 1 ¼" to fit over ¾" or 1" diameter rungs.
  • Customized shapes and sizes can be fabricated to meet job specifications.
  • Application: Rung covers are designed for the modernization and restoration of worn and slippery ladder rungs by simply fitting channel-rung covers to existing round rungs and welding them into place. 
  • Slip Resistant Standards: Rung covers exceed all requirements for coefficient of friction specified by ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, and OSHA (OSHA standard 1926.1053 (a) (6) (i)).  SlipNOT® ’s coefficient of friction is greater than or equal to .85.  SlipNOT® is applied only to the topside of the rung.
  • Fabrication: Rung covers can be cut by any means required, torched, sawed, sheared, etc.
  • Durability: Rung covers have proved extremely durable in very adverse conditions such as Steel Mills, Auto Plants, Oil Rigs and Oil Refineries, and many other locations.  Rung covers coated with SlipNOT® have a file hard surface of over 55 Rc with a bond strength of over 4000 psi.

  • Finishes: Steel ladder rung covers can be ordered with a mill finish, painted, or hot dipped galvanized.
  • Care: If rung covers are to be exposed to the weather, some sort of treatment (either priming/painting or hot dip galvanizing) is required.

Aluminum Ladder Rung Covers:

  • Available in: Grade 1 (Fine), Grade 2 (Med.), (Grade 3 Coarse, only offered on Steel SlipNOT® surface)

  • Finishes: Aluminum ladder rung covers can be ordered with a mill finish or can be painted.
  • Care: No adverse affects if exposed to weather when coated with aluminum and stainless SlipNOT® .  Ladder rung covers coated with steel SlipNOT® should be galvanized or coated with a corrosion resistant paint.

Stainless Steel Ladder Rung Covers:
