THE SYSTEM:
The WIDECK’s profiles with 18 inch coverage are 50% greater than the industry standard profiles width of 12 inches. WIDECK was developed to provide architects and engineers with long-span systems that are attractive and economical for any type of building construction where spanning large open areas is desired.

Design professionals are keenly aware of the benefits that long-span metal deck systems provide. For large clear span areas, most designers prefer the uncluttered appearance of a long-span metal deck system to one that utilizes a maze of steel joists or some other supplementary support. The introduction of WIDECK provides designers with a more affordable long-span metal deck option.

The aesthetically pleasing appearance of the wider profile eliminates the cost and time required for the installation of a suspended ceiling. Additionally, the WIDECK profiles are less costly to produce. Because of their 50% greater profile coverage, they are faster and less expensive to erect. The load carrying capacities of WIDECK compare favorably with that of other long-span metal decks.
