![]() Perimeter Systems Designer Series Commercial Gutter System
Designer Series Commercial Gutter Systems are installed throughout the United States. These pre-engineered gutter products are extremely popular in both new and retrofit applications because they conceal the actual gutter and brackets – an important feature for signature type projects or historically sensitive neighborhoods. Installations include schools, universities, churches, banks, and stately homes. The Designer Series Commercial Gutter Systems are based on a concealed gutter with a snap-on decorative fascia. The concealed gutter, which we identify as the Liner, is produced from heavy aluminum and is attached with straps and brackets. Together, these components withstand the most severe winter conditions. Please review the design criteria section of our Design Manual for more information and proper detailing of eave fascias and flashings. Our decorative fascias are available with a high performance polyvinylidene
fluoride kynar resin finish (Kynar 500®) in any color commercially available.
Please review the color management section of our Design Manual for your options
and choices. In addition, fascias are available in rich anodize finishes as
well as other metals. Snap-on Fascias are permanently secured over the Liner
by the interlocking action of the Liner’s support brackets and interior
straps. The fascias joint treatment consist of a concealed splice plate with
a 3/8" expansion reveal joint.
Features All Designer Series Commercial Gutter Systems incorporate an assembly of heavy gauge brackets and straps. Produced from .125" extruded aluminum, these brackets allow the gutter system to support heavy snow or ice. A liner (the actual gutter) is precision formed in 10’ lengths with tapered ends to allow for a telescoping joint. Since the liner is a structural component of the assembly, it is available in heavy aluminum ranging from .040" - .080" in thickness. Please review the sizing data and material recommendation charts in our Design Specifications Guide to select the material for your area. The fascia profiles are produced in 10' lengths and their joint treatment consist of a concealed splice plate with a 3/8" expansion reveal - no sealants are required. The fascia is held in place by the combination of the support bracket assembly and the locking action of the inside strap. Accessories

These four profiles are available in two sizes -- 6" and 8" -- which are true sizes as measured at the rear of the interior liner. In addition to our standard profiles custom shapes, which conform to our manufacturing processes and tooling, have been produced. We encourage you to submit your proposed designs for review. Concealed Drain
Description Concealed drainage is only possible with the Designer Gutter Systems. Concealed drainage offers many design options such as draining water from high roof levels, clock or bell towers where downspouts would not be attractive, high profile projects subject to vandalism, or schools where abuse of downspouts is common. The Designer Series Commercial Gutter Systems use heavy cast drains with threaded outlets. These drains are mounted into a specially formed receiver designed to accommodate the drain’s shape and fasteners. Once installed, drains are then piped into the wall cavity to either ground level or an underground drainage system. You will need to refer to standard pipe sizing data and charts in our Design and Specifications Guide determine a wall’s cavity dimension to enclose your drainage pipe. Styles of Drains TYPE 1 angled drain which is more appropriate for roof edges
with little or no overhang (soffit). The pipe extends from the drain at a 45
degree angle. All profiles of the Designer Series Commercial Gutter Systems will allow for concealed drainage. Because the drain itself is large, 6" gutter sizes can not be used. For the Colonial, Batten, and Contemporary Profiles, the fascia is slightly larger than standard sizing to accommodate the lower portion of the drains. Accessories
