Wood frame corners are square-cut, butt-jointed and secured with screws for strength and improved durability. Complement the style of your home or add your own distinctive look with optional Simulated Divided Lite (SDL), aluminum airspace or snap-in wood perimeter grilles featuring a "frame" design using concealed pins to snap them securely in place for superior strength compared to stick grilles found on other window brands. 
On direct-set windows, the glass is glazed directly into the frame to provide the maximum view possible.
