Key Epoxy Terrazzo Flooring

Key Epoxy Terrazzo is a highly decorative, pigmented, 100% solids (zero VOC) epoxy resin thin-set terrazzo flooring system. The epoxy resin binder is mixed with a wide selection of decorative aggregates such as marble, glass or mother of pearl, trowel applied to a 1/4" or 3/8" nominal thickness, followed with grinding, polishing and sealing. Key Epoxy Terrazzo provides outstanding durability and wear, lasting the lifetime of the building for the ultimate in sustainable flooring. This results in the lowest life cycle costing of any flooring system available. Key Epoxy Terrazzo can be installed in conjunction with Key #580 Crack Isolation Membrane to achieve crack free installations or Key #635 MVT Moisture Vapor Control Primer as required by project conditions. Key Epoxy Terrazzo has many benefits while contributing towards LEED certification.

Contribution towards LEED Points can possibly be achieved when considering:

  • Terrazzo floors provide significant longevity and low maintenance costs
  • Projects within a 500 mile radius from resin manufacturing sites in Phoenix, AZ or Batavia, OH. LEED MRcr5.1 and 5.2 (2 points possible)
  • Epoxy resin binders contain no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's). LEED EQcr4.1 or 4.2 (1 point possible)
  • Terrazzo may be considered for Innovation and Design credit. LEED IDcr1 (1 point possible)

Key Epoxy Terrazzo is ideal for almost any area where a monolithic, heavy duty floor surface is needed. In addition, Key Epoxy Terrazzo provides the ultimate in beauty and design. It is ideal for commercial, industrial and institutional applications. It is the best choice for arenas, coliseums, hospitals, and health care facilities.

"Green" Key Epoxy Terrazzo with Recycled Glass Aggregate

Key Epoxy Terrazzo with Recycled Glass Aggregate has all of the attributes of Key Epoxy Terrazzo with the addition of 100% post-consumer recycled glass. A terrazzo floor containing 100% recycled glass would contain as much as 75% by volume of recycled content. This helps contribute towards LEED credits MRcr4.1 and 4.2 (2 points possible).
