FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS A folding chair that strikes a perfect balance between comfort and effective use of space. With the automatic-return seat in the upright position, the chair occupies a depth of just 48 cm. The seat consists of a compact monobloc moulded from cold-cast polyurethane foam, which completely covers a metal structure composed of a frame of curved tubing, flat springs, and articulation pivots for the rotation movement. The block is encased in an upholstery cover with a zipper system that makes it easy to change. The characteristics of the backrest are the same as those of the seat. The arm of the chair also consists of a compact monobloc moulded from cold-cast polyurethane foam that completely covers a metal structure. Particular attention has gone into the ergonomic design of the padding used on the seat and backrest. 
A 5-mm fire barrier (TS System) can be incorporated between foam and upholstery on both the seat and the backrest to prevent fire from reaching the foam, delaying the spread of flames and emission of toxic gases. The chair folds automatically using a double-spring system housed within the seat (tested at 500,000 cycles). The system does not require lubrication and is extremely silent. The seat, backrest and arms of the chair are supported by a central pedestal, which consists of a tubular steel column, a plate for fixing the pedestal to the floor, and a central bridge. The central bridge contains housing for the hinge assembly (with locking mechanism) that connects to the axes of the seat and arms. Together with the F-45 desk, this model is an optimal solution for working sessions and conferences.
