Woven Wire Products Association

Woven Wire Products Association (WWPA), represents manufactures of diamond woven wire mesh products for institutional, industrial and even architectural applications for over 60 years.

WWPA members are proud of their high quality workmanship and ethical business standards and represent a select group of small and large organizations from across the United States.

About the Woven Wire Products Association

The Woven Wire Products Association (WWPA) was established in 1942 as a professional association with the purpose of representing manufactures of diamond woven wire mesh products.

WWPA members emphasize quality workmanship and ethical business standards and produce woven wire products for institutional and industrial applications.

The association promotes its active member firms and their products and offers a forum for the exchange of management and technical information at semi-annual and annual conventions and meetings.

Architects and general contractors rely on the high quality products and exact specifications for woven wire products they have come to rely on from WWPA members.

Membership is open to persons, partnerships, or corporations involved in the manufacturing of diamond woven wire mesh products and those firms that supply materials and services to the manufactures of diamond woven wire mesh products.

Features and Advantages of Woven Wire

Woven wire is fabricated from drawn and rolled sections of wire mesh. Available in the finest to the coarsest of meshes, architects, general contractors and fabricators rely on the versatility and adaptability of woven wire for any situation where open mesh is required.

Woven wire is highly recommended for applications where the primary requirements are ventilation, lighting, visibility and fire proof materials and has been used in a variety of industrial, institutional and even decorative needs.

Some of the advantages of woven wire include:

  • Ventilation - offering the largest percentage of open area for maximum ventilation
  • Lighting - more light is available with woven wire due to better diffusion
  • Strength - woven wire products are double crimped and securely interwoven and clinched on drawn metal frames, creating a strong, durable and stable product. The geometry of triangulation makes this a reliable and long-lasting material.
  • Cost - our special manufacturing process allows for less waste and more efficient manufacture, making woven wire a low cost option
  • Vision - clear visibility is available from any position
  • Fire - woven wire offers a clear stream for hose spraying and is a fire proof material
  • Heating/Air Condition - achieve a maximum circulation of heating and air conditioning
  • Sound - the open mesh format means no interference
  • Cleaning - easy to keep clean and maintain
  • Diversity of sizes and meshes - available to meet any requirement
