Holly Acoustic Lighting

With Holly, Homstvedt and Klock have challenged preconceptions of how acoustic lighting should look. The ambition with Holly was to create a beautiful object that also happens to be very functional. Holly acoustic lighting is sculptural and enigmatic, playing with the contrasts between light, reflection, and shadows. Holly awakens thoughts and associations that might soar to the Moon or the Sun. But the designers’ source of inspiration was rather more down to earth.

“We were thinking of holly and its beautiful berry clusters. Our working name for it was Holly, as well,” - says designer Runa Klock.

• Holly is available in two versions: Vertical, which is suitable for lobbies and other high-ceiling spaces, as well as in corners for increased acoustic effect; and Horizontal, which can be suspended over large tables in, for example, restaurants, bars, and workspaces.
• The sound-absorbing globes are ideal for low-frequency sound waves as they are constructed with recycled fabric that has been transformed into a Soundfelt REC material.
• Each of the globes, both absorbers and lamps, have a diameter of 9.8″.
• The Holly absorbers are upholstered in a 3-D-stitched mélange seamless covering (100% polyester). The fabric covering is available in three classic options.
• The light globe is an opaque, white opal glass that produces a beautiful, evenly distributed light.
