Models range from the Dual Function SMART VENT Series, offering flood protection and natural air ventilation, to the Insulated FLOOD VENT Series. Besides CMU Block/Foundation Models we offer Wood Wall Models (ideal for garage walls), Overhead Garage Door Models, and Pour-in-Place Buck Models for Poured Foundation Walls. How it Works: The SMART VENT door is latched closed until flood water enters. Rising flood water lifts the internal floats, which unlatch and open the door. Smart Vent's 3-inch clearance when open helps let flood debris pass through unlike a typical air vent that will clog. Note that air vents are not flood vents. They will clog with flood debris and were not designed to be used in flood scenarios.
